    Will Transcript  of  Allexander Davison, Deceased. 

    IN THE NAME OF GOD AMEN the Twenty Second Day of September 1739 I Allexander Davison of the Township of Strosbroch and County of Lanchester and Provence of Penselvena yeoman Being very Sick and Weak in Body but of Perfit mind and memory thanks be given unto God: therfor Calling unto mind the Mortality of my Body and knowing that it is apointed for all Men once to Die do make and ordain this my last will and testament.
    that is to say principaly and first of all I give and recomend my soul into the hands of almighty god that gave it: and my body I recomend to the Earth to be buried in decent Christian burial at the discretion of my Exaurs: nothing doubting but att the general resurrection I shall receive the same again by the mighty power of god: and as tuching such worldly estate where with it pleased god: to blese me in this life I give and demise and dispos of the Same in the following manner and form.

    Item first of all I give and bequeath to my well beloved wife Isable Davison a third part of all my moveables. 

    Itaim I alow to be given to Joseph McCormick or his heirs the sum of ten pounds penselvania Curency and that to be paid out ot the other two parts. 

    Itam I give and bequeth the Plantation where on I now live to John Davison and Samll Davison eickully to be divded for and in Consideretion of five pounds from each of them to be given to Joseph McCormick that is to say to given to my daughter Elisabeth or her heirs with the above ten pounds mensoned. 

    Itam I alow all Debts and Lawful Cheargs with my funeral Cheargs and that of the whol of the moveabels. 

    Itaim I alow the old whitfeast Cow to be given my daughter Sarah. 

    Itiam I alow on Shilling Sterling to be given to my daughter Meary. 

    Itaim I alow to be given to my daughter Ann tow yeare old Stears on of them to given to hir Son Jeames henery. 

    Itiam I alow the bald hors to Allixander Davison and my Seadle. 

    Itam I alow the litel horse to an owen. 

    Itam I alow what is over and above what is mensoned to be equly devided betwixt my tow Son John and Samll.  

    Itim I Likewis Constitut make and ordain my Sol Exceors of this my Last Will and Testatment to be John Davison and Samll. Davison in Witnes for of I have heareunto Set my hand and Seal the day and yeare above writen.

    LANCAST. November the 6th Anno Dom 1739.  Then Personally appeared George Stuart and Samuel Shaw Two of the Witnesses to the Within Written Will and on their Oath did declare they were present and Saw & heard Alexander Davison the Testator within Named Sign Seal pronounce & Declare the within Will to be his Last Will & Testament and that at the Doing therof was of Sound mind & Understanding to the Best of their Knowledge.

    BE IT REMEMBRED that on the 6th. Day of November Anno Dom:  1739  The Last Will and Testament of Alexander Davison was Proved in due form of Law and Probate and Letters Testatmentary were granted unto John Davison and Samuel Davison having first Sworn well and truly to Administer the said Deceds Estate and bring an Inventory therof into Regist Office in Lancaster County on or before the 6 Day of Decem. next and also to Render an Acct. when therunto Lawfully Required Given under the Seal of the said Office.  P.
