- Charles Franklin Davidson, a retired pioneer farmer passed away at his home at 1316 E Elm St at Cushing Okla on Monday, Jan 14, 1946, following an illness of several years at the age ot 79 years, 8 months, and 9 days.
Mr Davidson was born in Madison County, Illinois in 1866. The early part of his life was spent in Illinois and Kansas.
Mr. Davidson was joined in marriage with Miss Nellie Ladd on March 19, 1891 et Independence, Kansas. To this union was born 9 children, 2 sons and 7 daughters.
In I892, Mr. Davidson came to Oklahoma with his family settling in Payne County, near Stillwater, and has remained in this vicinity Iexcept for an interval of 10 years of farming in Kansas, then he returned to this county and Cushlng about 7 yeare ago. He became a workr for Christ 53 years ago - was a member of the Church of the First Born, and remained true to his faith to the end.
Survivors are: The wife: Mrs Nellie Davidson of the home, 5 daughters, Mrs. Rilla Cook and Mrs. Etta Rogers of Drumright, Mrs. Archie Leonard and Mrs. Walter Courtright of Chickasha, and Mrs. Ralph Pleree of Salt Fork, 1 son - Dwight Davidson of Drumright, 2 brothers - S. E. of Venice, Illinois, and - G. W. of San Antonio, Texas, 1 sister Mrs. NelIle Cunningham also of San Antonio, Texas: 19 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
Mr Davidson preceded In death by 2 daughters and 1 son and will be remmbered as a fine uprigtit citizen, a good friend and neighbor, besides a kind and loving father.
