  	Bertie Mae Orr Morris Brevard - Bertie Mae Orr Morris, 85, died Monday, July 6, 2009, at Transylvania Regional Hospital. A native of Brevard, she was the daughter of the late Richard Homer Orr and Lula Garren Orr and was the wife of the late Eugene Meredith Morris, owner of Morris Pharmacy in Brevard for 25 years. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Richard Homer Orr Jr. Mrs. Morris was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Brevard. Surviving are her son, Max Meredith Morris and wife, Cindy, of Charlotte; daughter, Susan Morris Ashmore and husband, James, of Pisgah Forest; grandchildren, Meredith Lawrence Ashmore-Ward and husband, James, Heather Nicole Morris, Joshua Meredith Morris, Susan Campbell Ashmore; sisters, Betty Ann Owenby of Brevard, Rebecca Lou Hale and husband, Bob, of Hendersonville; brother, Roy Garren Orr of Brevard. The graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Gillespie-Evergreen Cemetery, with the Revs. Mike Jordan and Kerry Purselle officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to TRH Hospice, P.O. Box 2440, Brevard, NC 28712.
