  	Ronald Abernathy GASTONIA - Ronald O. Abernathy, 76, died Sept. 19, 2017 at home. He was born July 5, 1941, and was the son of the late Pat and Ora Abernathy. Survivors are his wife of 56 years, Dorothy Leona, son, Ronald L. Abernathy and wife Ann, daughter Amy Abernathy Frizzell; grandchildren Patrick and Kaylee Abernathy, Kierstin and Trevor Frizzell; and one sister Marie Redmond. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 20, 2017 at Woodlawn Funeral Home, Mt. Holly.
