Sandra Raye Bertram Meier, of Montgomery County died on Monday, May 9th in Westgate Senior Homes after a hard-fought battle with colon cancer. She was a longtime member of The Daughters of the Republic of Texas (DRT) and The Ladies Elks Association. As a member of the DRT, she held several offices, but her favorite was working with the Children of the Republic of Texas to share her love of Texas with the next generation. She also loved cruising and documenting cemeteries for genealogy research.
Sandra was born in Houston, Harris County, Texas on October 17, 1945, to Raymond and Norma Davidson Bertram. She was preceded in death by her parents and her loving husband James "Jim" Meier. She is survived by her children: Raymond Hall (Regina) and Ramona Hall. Her sister, Janet Bertram Hallmark (Lanny), of Kingsland Texas. Grandchildren: Peyton, Haydon, Zachary, and Abigail. Her niece, Wendy Cipriano (Rufus). Her great-nephew, Luke Cipriano as well as numerous cousins, extended family members and a host of friends who mourn the passing of Sandra.
A visitation for Sandra will be held Friday, May 13, 2022, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Cashner Funeral Home, 801 Teas Road, Conroe, Texas 77303. A graveside interment service will occur Saturday, May 14, 2022, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Antioch Cemetery, 1850 FM 1004, Buna, Texas 6768. Her Brother-in-law, Lanny Hallmark will officiate.
