Notes |
- From FindaGrave:
William G. was a Confederate soldier in the Civil War and was captured and kept in a Union prison in Delaware for nearly two years. When he returned home, the family moved to Independence County, Arkansas. In 1870, William G. and his wife Quincy bought 188.3 acres of land in Cooke County, Texas located on the corner of what is now I-35 and Sarles Road. Their son John Allen Knight would marry the girl next door, Elizabeth Ann Sarles.
