  Joseph Davidson was in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, about 1750 then moved on to Rowan County (now Iredell County), North Carolina. Charter member of Fourth Creek Presbyterian Church founded in 1756. Received land grant from Earl of Granville (900 acres). His house still standing built about 1802 is located between Wallace Spring Rd and Buffalo Shoals Rd.
