Notes |
- From FindaGrave:
Charles Franklin Davidson according to Lindsey TWP, Benton Co, MO 1900 US Census records was born on November 1865 in Illinois, however written family history has his year of birth noted as 1868 in several records. Also his place of birth is recorded as Missouri in the Ponca City, Kay Co, OK 1910 census records. He was married 31 Aug 1888 to Sarah F.(Francis) Reynolds in St Clair, MO. According to the 1900 US Census records they had 4 children from this union, but only 3 were living in 1900. The children are as follows: Ira Franklin (son b.26 May 1889 d.11 May 1917); Bertha Baughman( daughter b.Mar 1891 d.1951.); Everett (son b.3 Apr 1895 d.15 May 1911).
His first wife, Sarah Francis Reynolds died on 24 Aug 1908. Charles remarried shortly thereafter in 1908 to a Sarah Fedillis (nee Sloat) Cain presumably she was a divorcee as her former husband, Campbell Rastus Cain was alive in 1908 and he died 1916 so she could not be a widow and by this marriage he gained a step daughter, Zelda Icel Cain. This information is confirmed in the 1910 Census as Zelda appears in the household of Charles. There has been some confusion for researchers since Charles's first and second wives both have the same first name, Sarah and also have the same middle initial, F.
Charles and his son Ira do not have markers but according to offical cemetery records on file, Charles is buried in Lot 28, Block 6, Space 3 and his son Ira is buried next to him in Space 4.
